Weather

Mostly cloudy, mild temperatures, and strong southwest winds. Temperatures hovered near 32F, but temperatures felt cold, especially at treeline. No recent new snow and only 2" of snow measured this month so far.

Snowpack

We found solid, surface melt-freeze crusts on all aspects we traveled on, E-S-W-NW near and at treeline. Strong winds helped keep the surface frozen and the brief periods of sun were not enough soften the crust except in isolated sheltered spots.
