Weather
Mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain and snow showers gave way to steady snow at Pass level (from Turkey Foot up) and steady rain in the valleys in the afternoon. Temperatures were near and above freezing with some gusty winds. Snowdepths; 64" at Slumgullion Pass and 45" at Slumgullion Snotel.
Snowpack
Traveled on W-N-NE aspects near and below treeline. Despite a late start found good frozen surface conditions that provided good riding conditions at noon. The only exception was where the snow surface was dusty.
Avalanche
No recent avalanche activity observed along the highway corridor and in this end of the NSJ zone.
