Weather

Very spring-like weather, snow showers interspersed with sunny periods. Temps were warm overall and winds light. Solar radiation was intense when the sun appeared.

Snowpack

Northerly aspects were holding about a foot of cold snow from last week's storm. No sluffing, cracking or collapsing in the new snow. Southerly and easterly aspects had already crusted over. The snow from last week's storm was heavy and thick, especially on sunny aspects, indicating a lot of settlement and consolidation in this layer. A couple of tiny sluffs and a few rollerballs from steep, rocky sun-exposed terrain were the only signs of instability observed today.
