Snowpack

The snowpack as observed from Maroon Creek is well on it's way to a mature spring pack. The south and west aspects look they they are draining, even in the alpine. They are burning out below treeline. Only the north-facing slopes above treeline are still hold cold dry snow. Despite the warm day, only the top 5 to 10cm of the snow surface got wet and loose even below treeline at 1pm. There was no sign of wet avalanche activity.
