Weather
Light snow (S-1) fell throughout the trip with just enough accumulation to soften the edges of the skin track on the way down. Ridgelines were obscured but winds were calm at 10,500' with cold, single digit temperatures
Snowpack
The total snow depth was 95 centimeters. Todays' storm placed about 5 centimeters of new snow on top of 2mm surface hoar. The Christmas storm snow is beginning to facet and lose cohesion. The mid snow-pack is completely faceted with 30 centimeters of depth hoar at the base. The new snow failed on the surface hoar layer when I placed the shovel for ECT but did not propagate, no other results
