Weather
Increasing clouds throughout the afternoon, moderate westerly winds, and cold temperatures. We observed a few flurries at the TH around 4:45 pm.
Snowpack
Snowpack below TL on shady slopes consists almost entirely of facets and depth hoar. The snowpack could support the weight of a rider with skis on, but when I stepped out of my skies I sunk all the way down to the ground. Our group did observe periods of light blowing snow below TL and at ridge-tops throughout the afternoon. Overall, the snowpack is shallow, weak and variable below TL in the Ball Mountain zone.
Avalanche
We did not observe any recent avalanches.
