Weather

mostly clear with sparse high clouds. light breeze throughout day. temps in low teens at dawn, climbed to upper 20s by mid-day.

Snowpack

dug test pit on 32 degree SE aspect at 9650 feet elevation below tree line. total snow depth was 145 cm. CTH and ECTN 27, both failures 50 cm from surface on old melt/freeze layer. PST 55/100 (Arr) down 50cm.

Avalanche

no avalanche activity observed. some woomphing noticed near bases of steeper northern aspects.
