Weather
Cold clear sustained winds 20+
Snowpack
4-6+ wind deposit in sheltered areas. Moderate wind transport in open areas. Shallow 1-2in soft windslab formation on latter, N facing. Quick handpit above chutes showed about a foot of dry/soft on top of 3-4 hard layer/crust on top of depth hoar. Didn’t do complete pit since we never intended to ski either chute. Lower apron had the aforementioned soft 1-2 in soft windslab with poor bonding to hard layer underneath. It skied “fast”. Convex NE facing slopes in that area looked really loaded.
Avalanche
Old (week+ ?) in Lost Lake Right Chute. Patrol mentioned remote trigger from above by skier and broke to the ground. Crown no longer visible. Debris ran past cabin but mostly covered by snow since then
