Avalanche

10,100’ elevation. Northern aspect. 45 degree slope. Easily triggered by skinning along the edge of the road we were skinning up, no stomping required. 12” crown, comprised of cohesive, stiff storm slab broke on 8” of rotten old facets, then quickly ripped all the snow off to the ground as it got moving. 30’ wide crown, probably 5’ deep debris pile in the gully 80’ below where it stopped.
