Pit 1: SE aspect, 10600 ft, 28o, HS 135cm. The upper 35 cm of the snowpack was 4F>1F. Below that, a stout 50 cm P>P+ hard slab (Jan 5-15 storm) rests on a 5cm MF crust and 45 cm of 4F hard basal FC to the ground. CT26 SC @ 92cm↓ on 2mm FC below a 5cm MF crust. ECTX. PST 95/100 END on the 92cm↓ layer. Spot probing near this pit ranged 80-300cm in depth. Pit 2: SE aspect, 10600 ft, HS 155cm. Similar structure as noted above. CT18 SP @ 30cm↓ on a density change interface. CT28 SC @ 105cm↓ on 2mm FC. ECTN30 @ 30cm↓. Spot probing near this pit ranged 115-300cm in depth. NNW, 10700ft. Depths range 50-150cm, up to 200cm in deepest spots we found. Widespread surface hoar (1 cm) at the surface.
