Weather

The temp is in the mid-20s, with light W winds and scattered cloud cover.

Snowpack

Where I traveled on the E-SE aspect, the old, weak layer was deep, and avalanches were hard to trigger. However, it was an SS-D1.5 avalanche that likely was triggered from near the ridgetop where the snowpack was shallow.

Avalanche

The avalanche ran on the E aspect; the crown was near the ridgetop, and it ran from about 11,5K to 11K.
