Weather

Warm day with L NW winds. Didn't heat up as much as expected. Snow surface at 12K was all still frozen.

Snowpack

Hs was variable. We dug in an area that ranged from 100-130cm slightly down the ridge away from the very thick 2m+ wind pillow. Structure was poor, with P-hard wind slab over both Fist-hard Basal DH as well as midpack FCs (Mid Jan interface) around 57 cm down. We observed a localized collapse while approaching the pit site when our boots were punching through into the weak layer(s). CT17(SC) down 57cm ECP27 down 100cm PST(20/120)END down 120 on FC/DH
