Weather

Cold all day, swirling gusty winds blowing snow where loose snow was available, clear sky at sunrise with increasing clouds leading to flurries by 3:00 pm.

Snowpack

The snowpack is weak from top to bottom but gains strength closer to the ground. Without much of a slab, snowpack test results were stubborn during moderate loading steps with non-propagating breaks on weak near-surface facets down into larger grains mid-pack. Average snowpack depths: BTL-50cm(20in), Max 70cm NTL-100cm(40in), Max 130cm ATL-80cm(31in), Max 120cm
