Weather
20F with heavy snowfall (S2 and more) and moderate to strong winds all day long. WInds were variable in direction throughout the day, but never let up.
Snowpack
12" HN overnight, with a few more inches that fell today. The winds were developing a cohesive slab at the top of the snowpack, from 2-4" thick (BTL) to 6" thick (NTL), we saw minor cracking but it was increasing throughout the day. In a quick observation pit NTL we found: HS - 185cm, with the mid-December Persistent slab interface at 45cm above the ground.
Avalanche
Saw a 100' wide slide in the valley area nearing Walden.
