Warm, high 30s, broken skies, calm.

Snowpack

Observed less snow on the trail compared to December 12th. Measured boot penetration 15cm on Height of Snow (HS) of 50cm and ski penetration of 5cm. Dug a snowpit adjacent to previous snowpit dug on the 12th on northeast aspect below treeline. HS was 55cm and we found rounded grains, rounding facets, and basal melt forms. Two Extended Column Tests (ECTs) both produced ECTX results.
