Snowpack

Snow did not freeze in the French Creek drainage below treeline. Above 12000 ft. 3 to 4 inch melt/freeze crust above less consolidated snow. By 9:30 4 inches of boot penetration above 13000 feet and one roller ball observed off a corniced ridge. Decent 9:30 to 9:45 excellent supportable corn snow to 11,800 feet. Below 11,500 feet at 10:00 punch through to the ground in boots and significant sinking in sunny spots even with skis
