Snowpack

The snowpack below treeline averages from .5-1 meter deep (deepest on due north slopes). Snow on the sunny side of the compass is thinner and more consolidated with fewer weak layers. The snowpack on shady slopes remains largely faceted throughout and quite fragile. Sluffs could be initiated from steep terrain, but the snowpack on northerly slopes below treeline lacked slab where we traveled. We noted some whumphing on flat terrain.
