Dug a pit at GR 088200 at 1120m on a small 30 degree E-facing wind loaded pocket. Did a shovel shear test, a compression test and an extended column test with the following results: HS (190) STM (175) CTE0 (175) CTM15 (160) CTM17 (128) ECTH22 (102). The most recent windslabs at 15cm and 30cm from surface are most reactive. Given the very variable height of snow (HS from 130cm in the flats to 190cm in the snow pit to 15cm higher on the ridge around rock outcrop), one still has to keep in mind the deeper slabs sitting on a rain crust (30 cm) and facets to the ground (0-30cm). Ski quality was terrible! Wind affected snow on all aspects (today's wind was straight N).
