Skier remote avalanche from 10m away. We were skiing along the top of a windroll, paralleling the fresh cornice from a ways away. The avalanche started at the base of the cornice and initially involved only the new slab. After 15m the midpack became involved which upped the size. Stats: sz 2, e aspect, 2450m, 40 degree roll. Intense transport prior to avalanche.
