We skinned to that bump a bit past Burnt Knoll via Fat Dog trail. Dug a pit on S aspect on 15deg slope. Probed 60cm to ground. First 10cm was soft (fist), then encountered a 20-30cm crust (finger), then soft to ground (fist). CTN. Moved to other side and dug a second pit on an E (E80deg) aspect on a 30deg slope. Probed 100-135cm to ground (variable terrain). There were two obvious icy crusts visible, one about 35cm from the surface, and one about 15cm below that. CTM 7 down 35 (top crust) RP on rounded crystals.
