Weather
Broken skies, winds increased during the day from moderate to strong near tree line. Sort of shifted a bit west northwest to start, gusting strong from the southwest as I exited the field. Temperatures were warm today, little bit of moist snow at the very surface, maybe 20s, low 30s.
Snowpack
Upper snowpack contains weak layers with recent drifted snow and moist surface.
Avalanche
A couple of recent avalanches on the head wall looked like they could have run on a similar layer.
