Late afternoon tour up Crystal ridge via the western slopes. Crust held up remarkably well and was supportive corn skiing right to the car at 4pm. Moist surface snow everywhere I traveled except the summit ridge where the wind was able to keep the snow dry and the crust extra crusty. I was unable to get snow entraining on 35 degree SW slopes at treeline. Blowing snow at ridgetop forming soft slabs on easterly aspects. No avalanches observed.
