Mount Pouphard skiing up main glacier to near the summit. Changed plans of hanging glacier route as Mod-Strong NW winds were cross loading those slopes. Instead found soft dry snow 15-30cm deep right to near the summit. Clouds were forming around the summit of Pouphard from 12pm onwards. No signs of instability on the route we followed and ski quality was very good from 2100m-650m on north facing slopes. Buried 320cm probe in numerous places not finding the bottom at 1500m on the lower glacier. We avoided all overhead cornice hazard. Ridge winds were mod-strong with blowing snow evident. Snow on polar aspects stayed dry through the day. Clouds broken. Avalanche activity Few Sz 1 loose dry from steep east facing terrain at 2100m. Very localized.
