Hasler

Bluebird day in Hasler today. Started out cold (-24°) at the trucks but warmed up to -14° by lunch and was quite warm in the sunshine. Everything was heavily wind affected, especially up high. Very dense, crusty almost hero snow made for great travelling but not the best riding. We rode the whole loop, starting at the front side. Significant cornice development on NE aspects, and two small older slides below cornices on N aspect slopes that appeared to be at least 4-5 days old. We didn’t dig any pits but everywhere we went the snow was solid, consolidated and hard with occasional powder in more sheltered areas. It’ll be awesome in there once we get another storm cycle!
