Cold high Alpine travel and warmer temps At treeline. Found consistency in the snowpack in terms of two facet layers. Down 30cm we found size 1mm Facets that were reactive in moderate range CTM 5 SP and 4mm facets with striations down 50cm, HOWEVER ECTX A 1 day old sled triggered size 1 Windslab in unsupported terrain and other natural size 1 windslabs on steep unsupported terrain and some large cornice fall with very little avalanche initiation , upper pack is very faceted and unconsolidated
