Soft snow on top of crust in most areas, protected north aspects and higher elevations had preserved surface hoar burried 15-20cm. Saw an old Sz 1 and set off another Sz 1 in the trees at 1900m on a N aspect. Unsupported features are very touchy, but the skiing is excellent above 1800m. Be careful on larger slopes.
