Snowpack
North-facing slopes BTL and NTL: In both locations that I dug (N BTL and N to NNE NTL), there was just under a meter of snow. I found a slab that was up to 1F hard sitting on basal facets and depth hoar. In both locations, I had ECTP results at this interface (about 40cm below the surface), though it took a bit more to get things to fail NTL than it did BTL. Southeast-facing slopes NTL: Digging on a southeast-facing slope near treeline, Hs was about 120cm. There were 3 distinct MFcr in the upper 40cm of the snowpack, with layers of rounded grains in between. Below the lowest MFcr of the crusty trio, there is a layer of FC, and I had hard ECTP results at this interface. There was surface hoar present everywhere I traveled today (N-E-SE NTL and BTL). Snow surfaces remained cold and dry, except in south- and southeast-facing areas, where the top 5cm of snow was becoming moist.
