Moist surface snow up and around the Cabin and in the surrounding meadows. Good riding, new snow from yesterday is full mashed potatoes. There’s still fun to be had. Mixed bag of precip throughout the day. Rain, snow, snow rain…that’s not a thing, but my jacket says it is. Just barely below freezing with a -2 at 1900m.

While the time wasn’t there to repeat the test, but the most notable result from the profile was an ECTH sudden planar ‘Cash register’ on rounding Surface hoar (up to 6mm) and facets down 91cm. Also got a hard 29 result on this layer in a compression test SP. It’s tough to date that layer, I would call it the late Nov interface, but the guy I was riding with said that was 20cm higher as he was out there. Which is also present with a small crust, facets, and rounding surface hoar but smaller 2-3mm. I totally forgot to take a picture 🤦♂️ Going to look for the same problem on the other side of the cariboo river in the goose range…stay tuned.
