Crusty Thar

Skin track up to Thar peak was very crusty and wind/sun affected. Closer to the top were very tricky conditions. Ski crampons would be a good idea. We boot packed some sections as the skin track disappeared into solid wind and sun crust. Cold start -15c'ish at the parking lot. Once in the sun things warmed up a lot. Jackets off on the skin up. We rode down Thar Bowl Run. The top was very firm wind and sun crust. The east aspect lower down was a bit better but still very icy and firm from wind. Lower in the trees the snow was a lot better and provided some nice turns.
