Pulpit

We dug a pit at 1990 m on a NE aspect near Pulpit 2. Results were CT25 and CT22, both producing a planar failure, but with little evidence of propagation. No other weak layers detected. Snow pack was more than 320 cm (the length of our probe). Higher in the alpine we turned back due to unconsolidated feeling under a buried (presumed) wind slab.
