Snowpack

About 2 feet of unconsolidated snow on melt/freeze crust. Bonded well.

Avalanche

I triggered a shallow storm slab. It was only about 8 or 10 inches deep, but ran several hundred vertical feet and broke widely across terrain features. Nobody was caught or buried.
