Checked out the snow up the West Perry road. Thick rain crust and Hs 55 cm at 1375 m. There was breakable rain crust up to 1550 m, where it thinned out and disappeared. At 1600 m, Hs 102 cm. 30 cm of old melt-freeze crust at the bottom, with 10 cm hollow layer of mostly facets above it. Top 15 cm is old powder. The open areas and alpine ridges are really wind scoured.
