Started early just after 8:30 AM on a cold morning that warmed up after a few hours. Weak wind gusts occurred in the open valley and at the ridge top, with some snow shedding, especially in the valley. Rode the ridge line toward the open tree area where snow felt supportive and deep, showing no signs of instability.
