Bonnington Range-Hall Creek

A shallow snowpack with a complex layering of SH sitting on top of a crust that is breakable or a ice lens that is unbreakable with skier weight.A thick layer of large facets under this crust present a potential for a step down and increased size and propagation properties to avalanche triggers.

A size 2 avalanche that released with additional load on the Dec 13th Surface hoar interface, and released a number of small sympathetic releases.Representative of the the touchy conditions after yesterdays winds.
