Spent a few days skiing in the Pass Lake area. There is currently @ 200-215cm snowpack depth at 1500m treeline elevations. Over the weekend over 70cm of snow fell . This buried the widespread raincrust that formed on Nov 18 - we found this crust right to the summits (1800m) in this area. On Nov 24, there was a major wind event, that created widespread windslabs at all al elevations in open areas. With a break in visibility sunday, we noted some avalanche debris in a few larger runout zones, suspect these were as a result of the wind loading. Ski cutting small, steep features did not release anything to the crust, but that was only a few, isolated tests.
