Weather

Winds were gusty at ridgetop for a bit and then calmed. Not much snow being transported. Broken cloud cover.

Snowpack

Traveled on north to northeast near treeline. About 3 to 4 inches of new snow rests on a thin crust. Below this crust is a thick layer of small, fist-hard facets. No slab currently so not a problem right now but something to watch with the potential for wind loading in the days to come.
