Weather

Toured from 0630 to 0900. Sky: OVC ; Precip: S1 ; Wind: W, light NTL. Calm BTL ; Temp: 10-15F

Snowpack

Observed HS BTL (N aspect) ranging from 150-180cm. Dug a pit on a N aspect BTL at 11.4K. HS 175cm. Top 30cm (175cm-145cm) was fist hardness (very low density new snow from the past few days). From 145 cm to 50 cm the snowpack was "right side up" (going from F to P on the hand hardness scale). 50 cm to ground consisted of facets. From 50cm-25cm, seemed to be slowly rounding with 1F/4F hardness and the lower 25cm consisted of large, faceted grains (F hardness). ECTX. Cut across a single test slope NTL on a NE aspect, no evidence of wind slab observed. Minor sluffing on a few convexities BTL (N aspect).
