Snowpack

Photos attached have details of snow coverage in Tenmile Canyons slide paths. Substantial snow coverage to produce avalanches is concentrated on the lookers left portions of the larger start zones. This is where terrain is more northerly and was recently loaded by southwest winds. The tracks of the Big Lee, Big Mike and Big Sam slide paths have sufficient snow coverage to allow a large avalanche to run a long distance. Much less snow coverage than previous years though.---In other avalanche paths that affect the bike path such as Buck, Poop Chute and the SKY chutes, there is very little snow in the start zones and the tracks are in rough shape. Avalanches are very unlikely to affect valley locations. The only substantial snow in start zones is the south-facing lookers left of Buck, Poop, and S chute. Not enough snow coverage, even with a full-depth release to overcome track roughness.
