Mostly cloudy breezy and cool in the morning with no visible snow transport. The sun started to come out after noon and temps warmed.
Snowpack
The only slopes we traveled on were southerly slopes. There is a 2 to 3 inches on a hard crust. No signs of reactive wind slabs or wet activity. Looking across the valley to northerly paths, there was evidence of some recent cross loading and I would suspect you could find a few small wind slabs on easterly slopes.---We traveled at about the 11k foot elevation and the snowpack was very supportable. As long as nights drop below freezing, wet avalanche concerns will be minimal.
Avalanche
Almost all avalanche paths in the Peru Creek area ran some time during the storms of March. Most paths ran to the maximum that the path allows. Damage to the powerline that runs through Peru Creek was sustained and crews are working on repairing it at present. Also the Maid of Orleans slide path ran just as big or bigger than 2017 when it destroyed a house. The remnants of a historic mining cabin was also damaged from a slide off of Ruby Mountain in the Pennsylvania Mine area.
