Sunny with Clear Skies. Near freezing at trailhead temps rise to 50’s by Noon. West facing above tree line below freezing.
Snowpack
There were many changes in the snow en-route, the following info was recorded above tree line on a West facing slope. West and SW faces were heavily drifted near tree line to Summit. Inconsistent surface crusts with dispersed breaking. Majority of he ground was still exposed. Varying depth in drifted areas 24” - 6”. 20% +\- coverages at all elevations on W/SW slopes above tree line. Faceted snow was below a surface crust and ranged in depth but ran consistently to the ground. East/ North East Adjacent slopes we’re forming wind slabs consistently on multiple slopes.
Avalanche
No avalanches were seen, cornices were forming on ridgelines running North to South.
