Weather

Sunny skies, warm temperatures, and winds were calm.

Snowpack

Temperatures were well above freezing by mid-morning and continued to warm as the day progressed. Clear skies overnight helped the snow surface re-freeze and good spring riding conditions were found when descending by 1130.

Avalanche

Recent observed avalanche activity has been limited to wet loose slides out of steep, rocky terrain- mostly above treeline. Hard to tell from a distance, but some may have reached D2 in size in the South San Juan Wilderness.
