Weather
High clouds and mostly sunny with temps around 32 degrees with a light wind at 11,300.
Snowpack
2' feet of new snow in the last 24 hours and four more inches overnight. The slope faced north at 11,300 feet and had avalanched last weekend's new snow with the new snow sitting on top of old surface.
Avalanche
I ski cut down to the safe spot between the two shoots. My ski partner stayed on top of the ridge. I then ski cut under the cliffs and made my first turn and a small soft slab of new snow pulled out above me below cliffs. I skied the slope fast with no complication. My partner was able to ski down to me safely.
