Steady snowfall with a snowfall rate around 1 cm / hr. Slightly decreasing Southwest winds and overcast skies.

Snowpack

Snowfall from 3/18-3/22 coupled with the recent and sustained Southwest winds have significantly changed the snowpack structure and persistent weak layer sensitivity on Grand Mesa. The 3/18 interface/layer is healed or healing and only failed in small column tests. The faceted snow left on the ground through the dry February fractured in long column tests on a Northeast facing slope (ECTP19 down 61 on 6mm rounding DH) and an East facing slope (ECTP20 down 73 on 6mm rounding DH).
