Chilly day. Hazy moist air wrapped the peaks standing proud in the northwest flow.

Snowpack

Snow surfaces are very weak. On slopes facing all directions, I found a 3cm thick layer of 1 to 1.5mm near surface facets. These facets were completely cohesion-less and easily initiated as loose dry sluffs on very steep slopes.
