Weather

Calm, cold and mostly clear.

Snowpack

I traveled near and below treeline on all aspects. The snowpack is shallow and mostly faceted. Travel on sunny slopes is challenging with so little snow cover. Working down a west aspect below treeline the snowpack was around 60 cm and ski penetration was to the ground. In a steep cliffy area I was able to trigger small Loose Dry avalanches the width of my skies that ran down the slope entraining what snow in its path but not gaining much volume.

Avalanche

Small Loose Dry avalanches in steep terrain. Relatively harmless but could grow in size over the next week of dry weather.
