Snowpack
HS 80-140cm, ski pen 20cm, boot pen 45cm, many settlement cones. The midpack slab on top of the depth hoar is growing thicker. A quick pit at 11,800' on a N aspect just above treeline adjacent to an old avalanche in McArthur bowl had ETCP 14 & 16 down 90cm failing on top of 36cm of depth hoar. A faint layer down 37cm also failed in my first test but I could not repeat any results. This is a wind affected slope.
Avalanche
Many avalanches from the Dec 14/15 cycle see photos. Slide in McArthur bowl may be older crown and debris were very filled in but still had visible HS chunks.
