OVC sky, mod-strong winds from SW/W from 0730 to 1030, from 11,000 to 11900
Snowpack
100m west of summit weather station, just below in sparse krumholz, 11,900ft, north aspect, 18-degree slope. stiffening slab throughout morning on surface, easy and sudden results at old snow interface 35cm down (CTE SC down 35cm 3x; ECTX x2; DTM RP down 49cm). HS 77cm at pit site. Cracking around skis throughout day, but no shooting cracks or whumpfs. south aspect below weather station towards Pumphouse, 11,000, HS 45-60cm. 15cm down old sun crust and new snow bonded relatively well.
