Snowpack

The top few inches of the snow surface became moist on most aspects today. A crust is present underneath the recent storm snow. On southerly slopes this is only a few inches due to settlement/melting. On northerly slopes about 6 inches of moistening snow sits on a crust. On a northeast near treeline slopes we observed some minor rollerballing. As we got down below treeline, on small terrain features I was able to push the new snow and make it slide on the buried crust. Above treeline looked wind affected with areas that were scoured down a crust and some deeper drifts of snow. Uncertain if any would be reactive as we didn't travel much above treeline.
