spent 3 days at Ozalenka, mixed weather, generally excellent skiing, soft surface snow on solid base with sections of crust in higher alpine. warming trend produced heavy/wet snow below cabin on ski out to the valley
Snowpack
No results on any layers lower than loose storm snow on surface, CTM results on crust down 5-10 only on 40 deg test. Manifest as sluffing, did not propagate.
Avalanche
Observed many loose dry storm snow slides in gully and face features. noted 2 older sz 2 WS avalanches on steep cross-loaded alpine slopes, likely triggered by cornice
