Log Cabin Long Weekend

With highway closures Saturday and Sunday we had Log Cabin to ourselves all weekend. Considerable new snow every day and windy conditions in the alpine kept us to short laps in the trees to both lookers left and right of "the cutline." Wind loaded features around trees were very large up near tree line. By Monday, keeping downhill momentum in simple, treed terrain was difficult due to depth of snow (~30+cm in places), so we packed up and went home rather than search out steep enough terrain to actually move in.
